Smith-Guia Wedding
Dear Jason,
My intent in writing today is two-fold:
1. I want to make an attempt to convey my heartfelt appreciation for the outcome of my daughter’s wedding video.
2. Provide a clear picture to future potential customers. I encourage you to share this letter. To the reader, you may call me ... to validate the following words.
Dorothy and I received the DVD this week of Rene’ and Rochelle’s wedding. We sat down this afternoon to watch it with Rochelle’s grandmother. Let me just say it was only about a minute into the video and I already had a tear streaming down my cheek. Yes, this was my daughter but… the beauty and quality of both the music and video effects were overwhelming. At that moment, I didn’t have ANY question that the rest of the video was going to be exceptional.
Since my daughter and son-in-law waited until the last minute to find a videographer we really only had time to interview one videographer. You will recall that I put you through a little bit of a wringer in contracting this work. Call me skeptical and/or a wary consumer but this is what I did know when it came to the videography. You only get one shot. A moment not captured is a moment forever gone except in the memory of the beholder. Sure, I had a demo video to see beforehand. I was impressed but still had concerns since I had to entrust you with “full editing rights.”
I finally realized that I was just going to have to trust the individual sitting in front of me. By the way, your professional demeanor helped me through that process. Given the outcome of this engagement I am now of the opinion that you are a man of integrity and hard work who will make every effort to deliver the results desired by anyone that employs your service.
As you know, I was a little busy the day of the wedding. But I did recognize that you and your team were REAL PROS in the fact that you personally managed the relationship with the church, ministers and the still photographers. That effort allowed our families to focus on the marriage of our children vs. managing videography logistics.
As we sat and watched the wedding video I also observed both Dorothy and my mother in law. Smiling, laughter, tears… and it was actually all of us. What I know is that you clearly captured the essence of the day. The visuals of friendships, companionships and the love of family clearly shined. Your skill and detailed attention in the art of videography clearly captured the memories of our day. I can absolutely speak for Dorothy and my mother-in-law on this point. The value you brought in capturing all those special moments will always be appreciated.
As you know, my expectations of outcome were very high. You and your team absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was absolutely looking for “wow!” and I got “WOW!!!!” All of my concern and on the front end of this professional engagement were clearly a waste of good energy on my part! ~smiling~ We chose the right company and the right man to lead the videography for this special day. You will never be forgotten for the outcome and the value you provided in capturing this piece of our family history.

Linda and I looked at the video, enjoyed every minute, and we are very, very pleased. I am anxious to hear Kate and Mike’s reaction. I know they will be very pleased also. They should get their copies in the mail tomorrow.
Again, thank you for a job very well done. It has been a pleasure to work with you, and we will see you in the future. Remember, we have two more girls!

We just received a copy of our wedding video in the mail and watched it this afternoon. We absolutely love it! You got some amazing footage, and it was all put together in the most beautiful way. We liked your music selection; the shots showing the details of the church, sky/trees, wedding dress and cakes; the way you faded out to past memories/moments during the wedding dances; and so many of the other special things you did.
It was great reliving the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and we especially loved the personal testimonies at the end. We understand that our wedding video ended up being much longer than your usual videos, but we're so glad you included everything you did. There's not one thing we'd want left out. Thank you for the time and effort you put into creating such a wonderful documentary for us; it will be so nice to watch for many years to come.
